A showy perennial with arching stems of beautiful, pink and white, heart-shaped flowers from April until June and good, green foliage. Best grown in partial shade but will tolerate sunny site if soil is moist. Caution: Harmful if eaten.

Dicentras prefer neutral to alkaline soil but will tolerate slightly acicidic soil. Cut down to the ground after flowering.
