The Plants
Hakonechloa macra
hakonechloa
£9.00
An ornamental grass, almost bamboo-like in appearance that is a real eye catcher in a dark, shady spot in the garden. Slow to grow, making it perfect for the small garden where rampant plants are unwanted. Small green flowers in late summer to autumn. It forms a low mound of arching stems, with cascading layers of narrow leaves. The graceful effect is similar to a dwarf bamboo but without any invasive tendencies.
