A vase-shaped, perennial grass with strong clumps of green leaves which turn burnished golden-brown in autumn, and fairly upright stems of purplish flowers in summer and autumn, held well above the leaves, followed by seedheads which remain attractive in winter

Care instructions

Grow in any moist but well-drained soil in full sune or partial shade. Cut back in early spring before the new foliage appears. Dislikes dry soil.
