A peony with huge, bowl-shaped, pure white, fragrant, double flowers from May to June. This classic, double-flowered peony from the mid nineteenth century is a favourite of the cut-flower trade. Caution: Harmful if eaten.

Care instructions
Grow in moist but well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Deadhead after flowering. Does not like to be moved/disturbed. In early spring apply a balanced slow-release fertiliser around the base of the plant and mulch with well-rotted compost or manure.
