Velvet-like plum-purple petals form hooded flowers over a long period in summer and autumn. Fully hardy in freely draining soils, this bushy shrub will become drought tolerant once established.

Care instructions

Grow in any well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade in a sheltered position. This plant is slightly tender, becoming more hardy as it ages. May need support. Remove faded flowers to encourage repeat blooming, or simply cut back hard after flowering is finished. Cut down to the ground in late autumn.
